COVID-19 Update

The Choral Arts Society of Frederick is excited to be back to our live venue making new memories. The health and safety of our guests, vocalists, and staff is our top priority. We continue to work closely with Frederick Community College, as well as state and local guidelines to monitor and update our COVID-19 protocols to provide a safe and enjoyable experience.

Operating Information

Rehearsal Guidelines

Rehearsals for Winter 2022 semester are in person.

  • Rehearsal duration will be from 7:45-9:30 p.m. with a 15-minute outside break.
  • No proof of vaccination or documentation of negative Covid test we be required for rehearsals or concerts
  • No face masks required while singing. If infection rates suddenly worsen, we will follow CDC guidelines. You must be willing to mask again, if the need arises. You
    are, of course, welcome to wear a mask for all rehearsals if you choose.
  • Water bottles allowed.

Performance Guidelines

Performances at the Jack B. Kussmaul Theater follow the Frederick Community College 3R Plan.

CASF patrons:

  • Face masks are optional.
  • Vaccines are not required.

If individuals have tested positive for COVID-19, have symptoms of COVID-19 or have been exposed to COVID-19 (if not up-to-date on COVID-19 vaccinations):

  • Do not come to the Frederick Community College campus
  • Consult with a doctor or state public health agency regarding next steps to take
  • Stay home until you have been cleared by your doctor or state public health agencyWhat to do Covid-19


  • The Audio Engineering department may make shows available online if we cannot perform live.
  • The CASF board will continue to hold virtual meetings.
  •  CASF volunteers will continue to work to apply for grants to support our finances.
