Sam Livermore was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. Mr. Livermore graduated from Midwestern Baptist College, Lake Orion, Michigan, in 2014 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education, choral emphasis. While an undergraduate, Mr. Livermore performed as a soloist and chorister for the Jackson Chorale, a community based choir in Pontiac, Michigan. In addition, Sam performed solo repertoire from diverse genres such as Handel’s Messiah, spirituals, and various art songs. As a performer for his alma mater, Sam traveled to many states in the Midwest and east coast, recruiting as both a chorus member and soloist. Most recently, Mr. Livermore broadened his repertoire to include Broadway, performing in The Secret Garden at Other Voices Theater in Frederick, Maryland. At Frederick Community College, Sam is an active member of the Handbell Choir, under the direction of Barbara Scheffter.
Since 2017, Sam has been the Director of the Choral Ensemble, Drama, Private Voice, and the Handbell Choir at Frederick Christian Academy in Frederick, Maryland. Sam has been with the CASF since 2016, and is enjoying his new role as the Men’s Chorus Master. “To be a part of the Choral Arts Society is my privilege, and to be able to share my love of music with others is my passion.”
